James Bartelle

James Bartelle has appeared in over a dozen shows with The NOLA Project where he has served as an actor, writer, director, producer and carpenter. Favorite roles include Get This Lake Off My House: Our Tempest, The Misanthrope, Cloud Nine, Thom Pain (based on nothing), The Wind in the Willows, The Beignet Plays, Side Man, Taste, Blue Plate Special and Almost An Evening. Other local credits include As You Like It, MacBeth and Twelfth Night with the Shakespeare Festival at Tulane and GoodNight, Incendiary and The Norman Conquest Trilogy with Southern Rep. Writing credits include the children's play A Kingdom of Statues, the One-Woman show She Remembers starring Natalie Boyd and the Ten-Minute Play Ulysses Lightfoot: The Dancer in the Dust. James has won Big Easy Awards for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy for The Lieutenant of Inishmore and The Norman Conquest Trilogy.
