Kristin Witterschein

Originally from New Jersey, Kristin moved to New Orleans in October 2009 and has been loving life down South ever since. She graduated from New York University and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in 2007, after which she spent the next two years living it up in NYC (and Brooklyn!). Her first production with The NOLA Project was Mr. Marmalade (Sunflower, Sookie, Emily), followed by Taste (Jeanette), Almost An Evening (Young Woman), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Hermia), Is He Dead? (Marie Leroux), Romeo and Juliet (Juliet), and As You Like It (Audrey). She originated the roles of Melonie & Ms. Dyer in Gabrielle Reisman's Catch the Wall in March 2013, and was nominated for a Big Easy Theater Award for Best Lead Actress in a Drama for playing Darlene in The NOLA Project's production of Balm in Gilead in September 2012. Other New Orleans credits include: Grey Gardens (Young Little Edie) and as Julia Sullivan in The Wedding Singer  (Best Lead Actress in a Musical Big Easy nomination). Favorite past roles include the Rabbi in Angels in America: Part I and Hannah Pitt in Angels in America: Part II at the Stella Adler Studio. Kristin has studied Shakespeare at the McCarter Theater in Princeton, NJ, and holds a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Drama from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
