The Company

Our Mission:
Through the creation of new works, high quality performances of relevant great works, and by serving as a resource to area students and artists, The NOLA Project hopes to be one of the standard bearers of New Orleans' artistic renaissance, sharing its work in the city and bringing word of the city's revived arts scene to the rest of the country.

About Us:

The NOLA Project is a theatre company made up of actors inspired by the energy of New Orleans. While studying at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, Original Artistic Director Andrew Larimer assembled a company to create in New Orleans a theatre with the highest dramatic standards. The company enlisted the expertise of James Tripp, Head of Acting a the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York, to advise and direct for the company. Additional actors from New York and New Orleans actors were brought in to create a versatile stable of talented actors in New Orleans to produce with the highest standards the great classical and contemporary plays. The company's goal is to create a repertory theatre in New Orleans while develop ongoing theatrical relationships between New Orleans and the rest of the country and world. We also plan to create original works in New Orleans and tour them, bringing the New Orleans experience to the world.

How you can work with The NOLA Project:

Actors, Directors, Designers, and Volunteers interested in working with The NOLA Project should email info@nolaproject.com with a letter of interest, resume and headshot or portfolio shots.  The NOLA Project also attends the City-Wide Auditions held each summer in New Orleans.  Once an actor, director, or designer has worked on two productions with The NOLA Project, that artist is eligible for company membership.  Membership occurs when a current company member nominates an eligible future member at a monthly company meeting.  After a company discussion, a vote is then held to elect said candidate into The NOLA Project company.  We are proud to have members that come from and currently work all over the country.
